BIGFlix is in the business of delivering legal video content to your PCs. In order to deter unauthorized distribution (read piracy), we protect the videos using DRM (Digital Rights Management) technology. Hence, you can download videos from not more than four computers connected to the Internet. Our video delivery systems are designed to track the locations from any computer that you try to use while downloading.
Just in case, you attempt to download the video you purchased from BIGFlix through a fifth computer connected to the Internet, then you will see an alert saying, "Maximum Licenses Reached".
Digital Rights Management (DRM) is a technology that allows for the secure management of digital media. This protects the video from unauthorized distribution and viewing, a.k.a piracy.
It doesn't really matter to you except that, it qualifies you as a legit owner of the video that you bought or rented a video from BIGFlix.
If you'd like to learn more from Microsoft about their DRM technology, please click here to read the relevant article on the Microsoft website.
Usually, yes.
However, this process does not interfere with your video viewing experience. It?s so transparent that you wouldn?t even notice it while takes place.
The DRM license cannot be moved to another computer. As long as this license remains on your computer, and it has not expired, you will not need another license to watch the same video on that computer.
Each video requires its own license. Further, content licenses can expire, depending on the terms of your download, such as in the case of rented videos.
Also, accessing the same videos from multiple computers uses up the limited number of licenses issued to you for a specific video.

The 'Maximum Licenses
Reached' notification is usually displayed when the physical file of the
downloaded video is attempted to view after copying the physical file to more
than four PCs.
You can view a downloaded video for an unlimited period
and as many times as you?d like on the same PC. An attempt to transfer and view
a downloaded video from additional PCs, will disallow access to that video.
Additionally, please refrain from sharing your account's access detail
with relatives and friends. Their attempts to download any video that you may
have downloaded will consume the download license, thereby showing the "Maximum
Licenses Reached" notification.
These are security features enabled via
the DRM technology for legal video downloads.
Check that your system volume and/or speakers are not set to mute or turned down to a very low setting. Check that there are any other video streaming applications running on your PC. If the problem persists, please reinstall Windows Media Player.
In case your license is deleted or has expired you could acquire a new one by visiting http://broadband.BIGFlix.com/BIGFlix/faces/jsp/drmConsole.jsp
If your video does not appear in the
Download Manager after downloading, first verify that the Media Manager is
installed properly and its icon is present in the system tray (located at the
bottom right hand corner of your desktop).
If the icon is present but
your download is not listed within Download Manager, verify that you do not have
an active firewall. If you do have an active firewall, we recommend you
temporarily disable it and try your download again. Once the download has begun,
you may reinitialize your firewall?s protection services and the required ports
will remain open for future use.
A video can be downloaded only
once.
If you encounter an error when downloading a video for the first
time, please contact Customer Care.
Yes, you can attempt to download the same video if the
previous attempts weren't successful.
There may be rare instances when a
download attempt does not add the purchased video to the BIGFlix Download
Manager. In such cases, sign in to the BIGFlix website and visit the "My
Downloads" section. You should see the video that you purchased in the list
here. Click on the "Download now" button adjacent to the video.
In order to connect your
computer to a television set, you need the correct video output hardware on your
computer. This can be composite video (a yellow RCA jack), S-video (a black
4-pin connection), or on newer models, a DVI port. These connections are usually
found on the video card on the back of the computer, though some multimedia PCs
have the ports on the front. If your computer does not have any of these ports,
you will not be able to connect your computer to your TV unless you buy a
multimedia video card.
If you do have a composite, S-video, or DVI
connection on your computer, you are in luck. Most TVs have composite input,
which uses a yellow connection for video, and a white and red connection for the
left and right audio signal. Just connect the three cables from the computer to
the TV, and you are set to go. S-video works the same way, but takes the place
of the yellow cable in a composite connection. DVI is the highest quality
connection, but will only work if your TV has a DVI input. Like S-video, you
will need to connect the red and white audio cables as well if you want audio to
come from the television.
Once you have connected your PC to the TV, you
can use the Display Control Panel in Windows to activate the output to the
television. You can either "mirror" the display of the computer on the TV, or
you can "extend the desktop" onto the television and have two separate displays.
